Beale Memorial Baptist Church

The purpose of this position is to lead spiritual development in the Church through comprehensive music programs and to assist the Pastor in his duties.  The Associate Pastor of Music will report directly to the Pastor and is expected to exhibit a spirit of cooperation and teamwork while maintaining confidentiality in church matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility will be for the Church music program
• Secondary responsibility will be for pastoral duties
• Lead the adult choir, weekly and seasonally
• Assist with praise band development
• Lead music and drama programs for young people.
• Nurture and encourage all persons involved in the music ministries of the church.

Background and Qualifications:

• This is a full-time position with benefits.
• Formal education in music and/or seminary education is preferred.
• The incumbent shall serve at the will and pleasure of the Church and is subject to periodic review by its Personnel Committee

Beale Memorial Baptist Church is an autonomous fellowship of Christians affiliated with the Baptist General Association of Virginia, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist Convention. The church was established in 1876 and is located in Tappahannock , Virginia.
