Youth and Music Committee meets the 1st Wed. of each month

Auditing Committee
(
Article III, Section 19)
There shall be an auditing committee.  This committee shall audit the books of the church treasurer and the books of such other person or persons receiving church monies.  Audits shall be made annually and at such other times as requested by the church.

Baptismal Committee
(Article III, Section 9)
The baptismal committee shall make necessary preparations for the baptismal service when instructed by the pastor and/or deacons; shall assist candidates prepare for the service; shall assist during the service.

Communion Committee
(Article III, Section 8)
The communion committee has the responsibility of preparing for the observance of the Lord's supper by the church and maintains and cares for the equipment used in such observance.  Communion is served every first Sunday, Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and such other times requested by the pastor or deacons.

Family Night Coordinators
Coordinators will be in charge of the meal for our family night program, September through May.  They will plan menus and oversee shopping, preparing and serving.  They will oversee volunteers for serving and clean-up.  They will supervise a paid cook.  They will keep tract of coasts and recommend adjustments in changes.

Flower Committee
(Article III, Section 10)
The flower committee shall make arrangements for flowers to be present in the church for all regular and special services.

Greeting and Ushering Committee
(Article III, Section 14)
The greet and ushering committee shall serve as or arrange for ushers at all regular church services; shall greet and welcome all persons, especially visitors, who attend the services of the church; and shall generally provide for the comfort and convenience of the congregation.

History Committee
(Article III, Section 17)
The history committee is to preserve and use the historical records of the church,  The committee shall be especially concerned with gathering and preserving available church records, recording full and accurate records, and using the records to help members understand and appreciate their heritage and mission.

Hospitality Committee (Pulpiy Supply Committee)
(Article III, Section 13)
The pulpit supply committee shall arrange for a supply to fill the pulpit in the absence of the pastor upon consultation with or direction of the pastor and/or deacons and shall arrange for entertainment for visiting ministers.

Library and Visual Aid Committee
(Article III, Section 16)
The library and visual aid committee shall be responsible for the church library, its maintenance, its operation, and the purchase, care, custody, and lending of books; shall have in custody all visual aid materials and equipment owned by the church and assist organization of the church it its use and operations; shall promote the use of printed and audiovisual resources; and shall provide church leaders and members consultation in regard to the selection and use of materials.

Memorial Committee
(Article III, Section 12)
When memorial gifts are given to the church, the memorial committee shall recognize the same with appropriate thanks to the donor and suitable notification to honorees or next of kin; and shall maintain a suitable record of such memorial gifts.

Mission Committee
(Article III, Section 11)
The mission committee shall be responsible for the coordination of mission activities of the church,  The committee shall initiate mission activity where needed and seek the aid and cooperation of other churched and community groups.  the committee shall serve as a clearing house for mission activity with the church so as to prevent duplication and neglect.  Membership of the committee shall be representative form each of the following: Deacons, W.M.U, Baptist Men, Sunday School, and Youth Committee.  The deacon representative shall serve as chairman.

Music Committee
(Article III, Section 18)
The music committee shall plan for and supervisor the music program of the church, shall organize and promote the choirs; shall cooperate with the nominating committee in recommending the volunteer music leaders of the church; shall recommend to the church, as deemed advisable, the employment of a staff member or members to work with the music program; when such staff person is to be employed, shall search for a qualified person to fill the position and recommend same to the church for employment.

Nominating Committee
(Article III, Section 2)
The nominating committee recommends the staffing of all volunteer church positions to be elected by the church.  There shall be 6 church members to compose the church nominating committee, who shall be elected at regular business meetings of the church ballot,  The church nominating committee shall elect from among its members a chairman.

Nursery Committee
(Article III, Section 7)
The nursery committee has the responsibility for the care of children attendants in the nursery or nurseries for the care of children left there by their parents during church service and activities; shall, in cooperation with the Sunday School director and Sunday School nursery workers, maintain equipment and play material suitable for use in the nurseries.

Outreach Committee
This committee is comprised of 3 members and the pastor (ex-officio).  We meet every 3rd Wednesday.  The purpose of this committee is to be aware of new people who move into the community and for us to also be aware of those around us.   This is a resource for prospective members.  Volunteer are used in certain areas or neighborhoods to help identify names of families.  We make contact by telephone, visits, and letters.

Public Relations Committee
(Article III, Section 5)
The public relations committee is to discover the public relations needs of the church and choose the means of communication to persons inside and outside the church. The committee is responsible for discovering what needs to be communicated and for communicating with the proper audience. Additionally, the committee is responsible for the church website.

Properties Committee
(Article III, Section 3)

The properties committee assists the church in matters related to the properties administration. Its work includes such area as maintaining all church properties for ready use, recommending policies regarding use of properties, recommending employment of maintenance personnel, and assigning responsibility to appropriate personnel for supervision. The committee has the responsibility of reviewing all proposed memorial gifts to the church and recommending appropriate gifts to those considering memorial gifts to the church.

Social Committee
(Article III, Section 6)

The social committee serves in connection with all general social functions of the church and its program organizations. The committee oversees the church kitchen, its equipment, and use.

Stewardship Committee
(Article III, Section 4)

The stewardship committee develops an overall stewardship information plan; administers the gifts of the church members and others, using sound principles of financial management including the formulation of an annual budget as directed in VIII Church Finances, Section 1. The treasurer and financial secretary of the church shall be ex-officio members of this committee. Vacation Bible School Committee This committee selects a director and then works with this person to schedule the vacation bible school, select and purchase the literature, enlist personnel, and generally oversee vacation bible school.

Youth Committee
(Article III, Section 15)

The youth committee shall plan for and supervise a program of activities for the youth of the church; shall recommend to the church, as deemed advisable, the employment of a staff member to t work with the youth; when such staff member is to be employed, shall search for a qualified person to fill the position and recommend same to the church for employment.
