Beale Memorial Baptist Church

Sunday evening, August 23^rd we celebrated the ordinance of baptism on the Rappahannock River.  Four candidates were presented for baptism.  The congregation gathered and watched as these four were led into the waters of baptism. 

I think the image of Richard B being carried into the water by the men was particularly symbolic.  It is a picture of the church carrying one of its members when they are unable to do so.  We rarely see such a visible image of Galatians 6:2 “ Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
