Worship is our primary activity at Beale Memorial. We meet each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. for this purpose. We also meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings for Bible study, so that we may grow in grace. Throughout the year we have a number of special events that enable us to develop our love for one another and demonstrate our love for the community. Here are a few that we are involved.
Easter Eggsplosion!
On the Saturday before Easter, we host a community wide Easter Egg hunt. We have made this a festival for the community with free food, games, multiple bouncy toys and 10,000 eggs. Last year over 1,100 people joined us in this fun time.
Operation In As Much
Essex Churches Together hosts a ministry event for the churches in our county to serve together. Last year 60 + members of our church were involved in this ministry. Some served as cooks, others as bakers, some as builders. Our church facility was the host site for a ‘free yard sale.’
Vacation Bible School
Each summer our church hosts a Vacation Bible School. It is normally held during the second week of August.
Christmas Cantata
At Christmas we host a Christmas Cantata on the second Sunday of December.
Salvation Army Toy Distribution
Throughout the year we collect toys for the Salvation Army. During December, we sort, bag and distribute these toys to 300 children from across Essex county.
Family Night
During the school year, we host a family night on Wednesday evenings. These start with dinner, catered by Lowery’s. Cost is $5 per person for the meal. We follow the meal with a prayer time and Bible study. While the adults are meeting in the sanctuary, children through sixth grade are involved in music ministry.
